Fall in Indiana is a beautiful time of year, full of colorful trees and kiddos eagerly anticipating carving pumpkins, costumes, and candy. If you are looking for ideas to make this Fall memorable, the Crawfordsville District Public Library has the books you need to do just that!

Pumpkins and Party Themes” by Roxanne Rhoads (745.59416 Rho) may be just what you need for your DIY Halloween party. This book may look small, but it’s chock full of 50 designs to make your Fall gatherings festive. Another great option is from the queen of food and crafts, Martha Stewart. Her book, “Martha Stewart’s Handmade Holiday Crafts” (745.5941 Mar) has beautiful projects to help you celebrate all year. And for all of the knitters out there, check out “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” (746.43 Gray). This fantastic book includes patterns based on Halloween Town as well as Christmas Town for beginners to advanced knitters.

If crafts aren’t your thing or you need cozy food to go with your crafts, we have you covered. There are so many cookbooks at CDPL that it would take an army of cooks years to make them all! A couple of examples of cozy food for Fall are “Half Baked Harvest Every Day” by Tieghan Gerard (641.5 Ger) and “Love & Lemons: Simple Feel Good Food” by Jeanine Donofrio (641.5 Don). Both of these books have so many simple appetizers, sides, and main courses that you may never order pizza again. Ok, that may be an exaggeration, but your mouth is guaranteed to water while you decide what to make first! For football fans (like me!), Fall may mean tailgate food as well, so take a look at “Food + Beer: Great Food to Eat with Beer” by Ross Dobson (641.5 Dob). This book is likely not what you would expect and just what you need to give your tailgating a little refresh.

No matter what your Fall plans are, consider visiting us for some new ideas! These titles and more are currently on display on the second floor of the library through the end of October. We look forward to assisting you soon! Questions? Please call the Adult Services Info Desk at (765) 362-2242, ext. 3.
